THE TRAP IS SET
It is interesting how the religion of Israel’s leaders had become so self-aggrandizing and corrupt, and why Jesus went to such great pains to point out their hypocrisy and silence their arguments. It reveals the inherent problems with all religion: when we bend God to serve our own purposes we lose every time. And the stakes are huge!
